Transportation

As a reminder, here are the bus options (dial 401-625-5562 for direct access to the Little Compton/Tiverton First Student bus yard)  the Little Compton School Department provides its high school students attending PHS.

• PHS MORNING EXPRESS:  The express bus leaves Wilbur McMahon School every day at 6:40 a.m. This option can be used by any Little Compton PHS student at any time.

• REGULAR SCHOOL DAY PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF: All Little Compton PHS students can get picked up and dropped off at their designated bus stops.

• FIRST LATE BUS: If your high school student needs to stay after school for a short time, we provide a late bus that picks students up at the high school at 3:05  p.m. and leaves PHS at 3:15 p.m. It brings those students to Wilbur McMahon School arriving by 4:15 p.m.

• SECOND LATE BUS: If your high school students needs to stay after school for a longer amount of time, we provide a late bus that picks students up at the high school at 5 p.m. and leaves PHS at 5:10 p.m. It brings those students to Wilbur McMahon School arriving by 5:40 p.m.

Also, for students who need a quiet place to study or just need a safe place to stay while waiting for the late bus, the Portsmouth High School library is open after school every day until 5 p.m.

All of these options are available as of the first day of school, Tuesday, August 29. 

 

The following are MET transportation options:

 

Option 1- Park n Ride on Fish Rd (8:02am/3:25pm)

Option 2 - Wilbur McMahon 8:10am on bus #2 and transfer to our Met bus.

Option 3 – Picked up at home during elementary run and transferred to our Met bus at Town Farm…….Home in the PM.

Option 4 - Town Farm (8:20am/3:40pm)
