Don't Miss Parent Cafe Workshops beginning October 1

If you feel like you have more questions than answers when it comes to effective parenting, you might want to attend one of the FREE Parenting Workshops being offered at Wilbur McMahon School (in our library) this fall. Through a partnership with Boys Town in Portsmouth and the Newport County Prevention Coalition, WMS will be hosting these grant-funded sessions on Tuesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The first kick-off workshop is "Parenting for School Success" on Tuesday, October 1. A light supper and free on-site child care will also be available.

The Parent Cafe Fall Series begins October 8 and is geared towards parenting tips for children ages 6-16. The Parent Cafe Spring Series will be geared towards toddler and pre-schoolers. A light supper and free on-site child care will be available for both series.

To learn more about both series, please visit the Boys Town table at the Wilbur McMahon School Open House on Tuesday, September 17 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Additional information will be available.

Registration is required. To register for the October 1 or other fall sessions, please contact Dr. Laurie Dias-Mitchell at ldias-mitchell@lcsd.k12.ri.us or cell # 401-542-1116.
